Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein was a German-born theoretical physicist, widely acknowledged to be one of the greatest and most influential physicists of all time. Einstein is best known for developing the theory of relativity, but he also made important contributions to the development of the theory of quantum mechanics.

Albert Einstein was born on March 14th, 1879 in Ulm, Würzburg, Bavaria, Germany. He was the second child of Hermann Einstein and Pauline Koch. His father was a civil servant and his mother was a housewife. At age five he moved with his family to Munich where he attended school until age 13 when he began attending the Polytechnic School at Zurich University.
